Advanced to October 24th from the end of November last year, likely due to the excessive proximity to Abu Dhabi, the RM Sotheby's auction in Munich confirmed the success of 2024. Indeed, it improved upon it: slightly more cars were offered (62 compared to 58 last year) but far fewer were offered without reserve (from 65.51% in 2024 to 43.54%), a risk that did not affect the auction because the percentage remained stable and high at 87.10% (equal to 54 cars sold).
The estimated value was very similar, at €28,633,000, but the winning bid rose significantly. If last year it had almost reached €23.3 million, this year it rose to €25,611,000 with an average price slightly increasing from €448,000 to €474,278.

Here's what I chose from the torrent of bids that characterized the event, which saw BMW and Ferrari as the real stars.
Before the top lot, let's start with the first car of the auction, a 2002 BMW Z3M Coupé. Equipped with the rare 325bhp S54 engine (just 1,112 examples were built), it was painted Phoenix Yellow with black Nappa leather interior, had 7,549 km on the clock, and was serviced last May. It successfully overcame the "first lot sold" risk: despite an estimate of €80-100,000, it soared to €126,500.
