Debt, death, divorce. Deborah. Among experts, these are known as “the three Ds”, the reasons why a high-end collection of any kind, from paintings to antique ceramics, is broken up, and Deborah Mayer's collection was the most eagerly awaited auction of the autumn. The Swiss collector is extremely well known in the racing world, financing at least three continental-level teams. She entrusted RM Sotheby's with organising the auction on 11 October in Zurich (Switzerland). With the discretion that characterises the auction house, the name of the seller was not disclosed, but two Rosso Deborah Ferraris, “one-offs” and only one owner? Some of the cars in her team, also with only one owner, spoke for themselves.
