The Isolation Island?
The Isolation Island Concours d'Elegance is an online competition for classic car models in 1/43, 1/24 or 1/18 scale. It was created by Andy Reid and held in April 2020 with classes limited to 25 cars and a maximum price of $350. The competition was judged by personalities such as Keith Martin and Ken Gross, and classes included US/European Classics, Porsche, and Ferrari. The competition was a success, and future editions are expected.

Ferrari: temptations within reach
The Ferrari market has experienced a significant drop in prices, and it is now possible to buy Ferraris for less than €100,000. Since the beginning of the year, 50 Ferraris have been sold for under €100,000, including a 1985 Ferrari Mondial Quattrovalvole and a 1978 400 Testa di Moro. The Ferrari 512 TR is also a great option, with two examples sold below the threshold in 2020. With prices dropping, now is the time for true Ferrari enthusiasts to buy their dream car.

Pandemia + Online Auctions = Deal Time
Classic Car Auctions is a "low-cost" auction house that appeals to a market that is often snubbed by traditional auction houses. At their recent auction, only two cars exceeded £50,000. Highlights included a 1981 Ferrari 308 GTS Carburettor that sold for just over €38,100, a 2001 Renault Clio V6 for around €24,900, and a 2000 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI Tommi Mäkinen Edition for the same price. The next auction is scheduled for mid-June.
