Just in time for the start of the automotive summer, the world's oldest luxury car brand demonstrates its readiness for the future by opening the doors to the newly designed space of its Classic Center in Fellbach near Stuttgart. Since Carl Benz invented the automobile in 1886, the possibility of individual mobility has fascinated people. Mercedes-Benz continues this legacy, offering innovative technology and iconic cars from all eras. True to the motto “Heritage Creates Future,” the digital transformation has reached the Classic Center.
There, customers will benefit from a wide range of unique real services and guests can enjoy not only the many shiny Mercedes-Benz classics but also, for the first time, have the opportunity to virtually experience digital editions of models like the Mercedes Simplex (1902), the 300 SL Gullwing (1955), and the 190E Evo II (1990) on legendary racing tracks such as the Nurburgring, Monza, Spa, or Monaco, using the high-tech Roarington Simulator.
Roarington.com is developing the new Classic Car Metaland, a virtual experience complementing the real world of classic automobiles. For the Mercedes-Benz Classic Center, Roarington has crafted a unique simulator based on the high-tech "Pininfarina Sportiva" and styled after the iconic Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing, wearing the 1000 Miglia racing number “417”. This now enables visitors at the Classic Center of Mercedes Benz Heritage to enjoy a unique virtual racing experience, piloting the Gullwing and other great cars on famous tracks.
