Markus Gross: Science Meets Imagination in Roarington image

New technologies are opening opportunities that, until recently, seemed unimaginable. When combined with human creativity, they give rise to virtual worlds that fundamentally change how we perceive and experience reality.

Roarington is a fascinating example. Here, the world of classic automobiles merges with a new digital dimension. Iconic vehicles appear as certified “digital twins” – not only to be admired, but also to be driven and experienced. Concours d’Elegance, rallies, and races take on a new stage in an extended, three-dimensional universe. Yet Roarington goes far beyond motoring. It is shaping a lifestyle cosmos that unites the joy of driving with art, culture, and exclusive experiences, opening a world that can be discovered in entirely new ways.

The fact that Professor Markus Gross is part of Roarington’s Strategic Advisory Board is a strong signal. Gross is Professor of Computer Science at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH) and Chief Scientist at The Walt Disney Studios. In a conversation with Roarington founder Fritz Kaiser, published in The Key, he highlights the speed of technological development and the significance of artificial intelligence: “Analytical AI recognizes individual preferences and enables tailor-made experiences”, Gross explains. “Every person wants to be acknowledged as unique – even in a digital environment”.

For Roarington, this means that visitors will increasingly find their passions, interests, and desires reflected within a magical virtual setting. Buildings, cars, streets, and landscapes are recreated in 3D, while AI helps to understand what people are looking for and transforms this knowledge into immersive experiences.

Gross is convinced that digital universes will soon become a natural part of our lives. “Today, these worlds are not yet at the center of attention, but this will change – and Roarington is already prepared.” His outlook blends scientific precision with childlike wonder: “Artificial intelligence will one day encompass all dimensions of human intelligence – knowledge, reasoning, emotions. Roarington gives us the chance to experience this evolution in a world that feels as real as our dreams.”
