Charles Gordon-Lennox, the Duke of Richmond, widely known as Lord March, has created something extraordinary on his family estate, where Goodwood House and the Goodwood Circuit are located. A cultured and passionate individual, he has chosen to honor the past while looking toward the future. For him, looking forward means organizing events that attract new generations, offering concrete answers to their dreams and hopes.

In addition to the famous Festival of Speed, which has taken place around the sumptuous Goodwood House since 1993, Lord March organized the Goodwood Revival in 1998, following an investment in the renovation of the famous circuit. This annual event is dedicated to historic racing cars, featuring 13 races with related trials and qualifications, showcasing extraordinary racing cars from every era. This year's event, scheduled for September 6th, 7th, and 8th, confirms his commitment to the future: all cars competing must have a fuel mixture containing at least 70% sustainable components. Inspired by drivers like Sebastian Vettel, who demonstrated the effectiveness and safety of eFuel by driving famous Formula 1 cars from the past—such as the Williams that won the 1992 World Championship with Nigel Mansell and Ayrton Senna's 1993 McLaren—Charles March wanted his festival to send a positive message about the future of internal combustion engines in classic cars.

By doing so, not only does it anticipate what will be mandatory in Formula 1 from 2026 (100% eFuel), but it also shows that the transition to clean fuels doesn't require any alterations or modifications, even in powerful, precious racing cars. This new rule, which will feature World Champions like Jackie Stewart and Jacques Villeneuve, aims to bridge the gap between the past and the future. Even the outfits worn by those in the paddock and on the track, strictly in 1950s and 60s style, will look to the future with the joy of clean engines, continuing to deliver spectacular performances and the irreplaceable music from their exhaust pipes.
