House of BMW welcomes eClassic in Milan
The TCCT eClassic Lounge has opened in Milan's Via Verri 10, inside the "House of BMW", providing a new meeting point for car collectors and enthusiasts. The lounge will host exclusive events and features the Pininfarina "Sportiva" simulator.10/02/2022
US Auctions: the records never end!
The Barrett-Jackson and RM auctions in Arizona set new records with total sales of over $200 million and $34.9 million respectively. Top lots included a Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing, a Bentley Continental IV Convertible, a DeLorean DMC12, a Ford GT Heritage Edition, a Shelby GT350 Fastback, and a Porsche Carrera GT. Some sales exceeded expectations, such as the Jaguar E-Type S3 V12 Roadster, which sold for $214,500, while others did not meet estimates, like the Aurelia B24S Spider America. The Scottsdale auctions held by Worldwide, Bonhams, and Gooding saw impressive sales with high percentages of cars sold. The auctions were similar in terms of average prices and percentage of cars sold. Top lots included a Duesenberg Model J and a 1958 AC Ace Roadster. The market for youngtimers is growing, as seen with the sale of a 1995 Ferrari 355 Spider. The auctions also showed that fans are no longer overpaying for certain types of cars.27/01/2022
Mecum in Florida: 217 million in a single Auction! A record
Mecum Kissimmee 2022 set a new record for historic car auctions with over $201 million in sales. Top lots included a 1965 Shelby GT350R Prototype sold for $3.75 million and one of the 106 McLaren Speedtails sold for $3.3 million. Other notable sales included a Mercedes-Benz 300SL "Gullwing" for $2.64 million and the famous "Hirohata" hot rod for $2.14 million. The market for Ferrari 348s and Jeep Grand Wagoneers also saw new records set.20/01/2022

Auto auctions in Arizona, featuring six large events, will provide insights into the 2022 market. Three auctions, Worldwide, Bonhams, and RM Sotheby’s, will offer interesting lots. Auctions ready to jump start 2022
Upcoming classic car auctions promise a spectacular year for the market. Mecum in Kissimmee, Florida, will offer 3,200 cars over 10 days, with a 1992 Ferrari F40 expected to fetch up to $3.2 million. Gooding, holding its auction online, will feature the 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, estimated to sell for $175,000-$225,000. Meanwhile, Barrett-Jackson will auction off the first Chevrolet Corvette C8 Z06 with the proceeds going to charity. Three collectors with different budgets and preferences bought cars for their collections at international auctions. Mr. Cautious bought a Porsche 911SC, Ferrari 360 Spider, and a Maserati Mistral, all under €100k. Mr. Sober purchased the 1999 Renault-Williams Laguna BTCC, 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280SE 3.5 Cabriolet, and 1956 Alfa Romeo 1900C Super Sprint. Mr. Wealthy went for the 1937 Bugatti Type 57SC Atalante, 1958 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider, and 1959 Maserati 3500 GT Spyder Prototype. The editorial staff of TCCT also bought a 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird for over €1.5 million.08/01/2022
Pebble Beach auction analysis. I'll buy what I've always dreamed of
An analysis of the prices of German cars at Pebble Beach shows Porsche and Mercedes doing well. RUF-modified Porsches were in high demand, with Gooding's RUF R Turbo selling for $445,000. The 911 2.7 Carrera RS Touring sold for $1,072,520, beating the previous record by almost $200,000. The only aluminium 300SL Gullwing sold for $5,010,000, down from the one sold in January for $6,825,000. Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing and Roadster remained flat in the market.06/01/2022
