Artcurial. Rally docet
The Artcurial auction held in Paris on October 24, 2022, was successful with 67 cars sold out of 96 on offer, and a turnover of €5,682,264 ($6,590,431) sold against €7,169,000 ($8,314,785) offered. Nearly half of the lots were offered without reserve, including some top lots. The auction focused on rally cars, with an ex-works Citroen BX 4TC Evolution, once driven by Jean-Claude Andruet, selling for €417,200 ($483,900), breaking through its estimate of €250,000-€350,000. Bubbly Bonhams in Zoute
The Bonhams auction in the refined Belgian town near Bruges returned to normal after being cancelled in 2020, and it achieved the highest sales total ever achieved at this event. 78.43% of the 51 cars offered changed hands and the sales total came in at €12,545,051 ($14,543,164), compared to a pre-auction estimate of €14,009,000 ($16,290,855). The top lots were a 1994 Bugatti EB110 SS, which sold for €2,242,500 ($2,612,450), followed by a Ferrari F40, produced in 1989, with only one owner and just 1,790 km on the clock, which sold for €1,840,000 ($2,143,550). The BMW Z1 Roadster had just 16 km on the clock and sold for €105,800 ($123,255), while the Land Rover S1 "Reborn" sold for €115,000 ($133,975), setting another record for the model.17/10/2021
