Bargains in the UK. This time I’m buying one!
The ACA and Brightwells auctions offered more affordable cars, with an average price per car of €10,365 and €11,112, respectively. The most expensive car sold was a 1992 Honda NSX, which set a record for the model and marque with a price of €132,610. The ACA auction also saw a record set for a 1959 Jaguar MkI 3.4 previously owned by George Formby. However, there were plenty of bargains to be had, such as a Mercedes-Benz CLK55 AMG which sold for just €4,908 and a 2004 Audi TT MkI 3.2 for €3,348.28/02/2022
The ICE St. Moritz
The Lamborghini Miura P400 won the Stars on Wheels award at the ICE event in St. Moritz, beating the famous Aston Martin DB5 from James Bond's films. Other notable cars included the Ferrari 275 GTB Alloy and the Ferrari 250 GTO, while the Maserati 4CL and Alfa Romeo Tipo B/P3 Scuderia Ferrari were driven on the icy track. The eClassic simulator also allowed enthusiasts to experience driving these classic cars on the ice.25/02/2022

Bonhams quadruples in Paris
Bonhams' recent auction in Paris saw a significant increase in success rate and turnover compared to last year. The 1996 Bugatti EB110 sold for €1,817,000, breaking the record in just 24 hours after a similar model was sold at RM for €1,805,000. The highest-priced car was a 2014 Ferrari LaFerrari, sold for €2,558,750. The auction also featured a Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Station Wagon once used by Michael Schumacher, which sold for €27,600.17/02/2022
Paris Auctions: Europe confirms the American successes
RM Sotheby's recently held an auction in Paris featuring 57 cars, including 29 Ferraris from the Petitjean collection. The auction saw 89.47% of cars sold and achieved €24,178,150 ($27,955,980) in takings, with five of the six most expensive cars being Ferraris. The top lot was a 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO from the Petitjean collection, which sold for €3,464,375 ($3,918,175), a new record for the model.11/02/2022

The TCCT eClassic Lounge has opened in Milan's Via Verri 10, inside the "House of BMW", providing a new meeting point for car collectors and enthusiasts. The lounge will host exclusive events and features the Pininfarina "Sportiva" simulator.10/02/2022
US Auctions: the records never end!
The Barrett-Jackson and RM auctions in Arizona set new records with total sales of over $200 million and $34.9 million respectively. Top lots included a Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing, a Bentley Continental IV Convertible, a DeLorean DMC12, a Ford GT Heritage Edition, a Shelby GT350 Fastback, and a Porsche Carrera GT. Some sales exceeded expectations, such as the Jaguar E-Type S3 V12 Roadster, which sold for $214,500, while others did not meet estimates, like the Aurelia B24S Spider America. The market has clearly shifted, and the results demonstrate a strong demand for high-end collector cars.03/02/2022

The Scottsdale auctions held by Worldwide, Bonhams, and Gooding saw impressive sales with high percentages of cars sold. The auctions were similar in terms of average prices and percentage of cars sold. Top lots included a Duesenberg Model J and a 1958 AC Ace Roadster. The market for youngtimers is growing, as seen with the sale of a 1995 Ferrari 355 Spider. The auctions also showed that fans are no longer overpaying for certain types of cars.27/01/2022
Mecum in Florida: 217 million in a single Auction! A record
Mecum Kissimmee 2022 set a new record for historic car auctions with over $201 million in sales. Top lots included a 1965 Shelby GT350R Prototype sold for $3.75 million and one of the 106 McLaren Speedtails sold for $3.3 million. Other notable sales included a Mercedes-Benz 300SL "Gullwing" for $2.64 million and the famous "Hirohata" hot rod for $2.14 million. The market for Ferrari 348s and Jeep Grand Wagoneers also saw new records set.20/01/2022
