RM Sotheby’s and Bonhams: fireworks in Paris

RM and Bonhams both saw success at their recent Paris auctions, with RM selling over €50 million ($53 million) and Bonhams reaching over €28 million ($30 million). Hypercars were popular, with a Bugatti Chiron Profilée selling for €9.8 million ($10.5 million) and a black Ferrari Enzo selling for €4.1 million ($4.4 million). Other notable sales included a 1948 Talbot-Lago T26 Grand Sport for €2.2 million ($2.4 million) and a triptych of top-range McLarens. Despite being missing from the collector market for seven months, a 1959 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster sold for €1.7 million ($1.9 million) after an exhaustive restoration.
