In recent years, several events have been evolving, such as Pebble Beach, which gave rise to the Monterey Car Week with activities spanning an entire week rather than just a weekend. A similar phenomenon is happening in Paris with Rétromobile, scheduled this year from February 5 to 9, complemented by numerous significant events that enhance its reputation.

The week kicks off on February 3 with the Best of the Best Peninsula Award. After last year’s edition in London, it returns to Paris to crown “the world’s most exquisite classic car”, in other words, the Best of Show among the Best of Shows from all major competitions of the previous year. Once the celebrations conclude, the winner will be displayed at Rétromobile for enthusiasts to admire.

For those interested in purchasing a classic car or simply curious to experience a live auction, this year’s Paris week offers plenty of choices. Artcurial, Bonhams, and RM Sotheby’s will ignite the passion of enthusiasts with unique cars, such as the 1964 Ferrari 250 LM, winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, still in its original racing condition and estimated at over €25 million.

Following the announcement of a U.S. edition of the event, Rétromobile demonstrates its dynamism with three halls at the Parc des Expositions at Porte de Versailles from February 5 to 9. It opens the European season of automotive events by spotlighting the finest automotive culture. Special events include an exhibition of French Formula 1 cars, a showcase titled “DS: 70 Years of a Masterpiece” that traces the history of this revolutionary model, and exhibits on cars and art, books, posters, and memorabilia. Of particular interest is a display of classic cars for sale, all priced under €30,000 — a message to younger generations to embrace the passion of collecting.
