On the occasion of its 95th anniversary, Pininfarina delivered a powerful message about its vision for the future of its renowned and highly regarded brand. A brand that has always looked ahead, building on a legacy of success—not only in the automotive world. At the large pavilion of the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan, the diverse creative talent of Pininfarina was on display on Monday, April 7th, almost like a journey through time: from the simulator created for Roarington, inspired by the 1947 Cisitalia, to the bold and harmonious interpretation of a major skyscraper currently rising in Dubai, and a video showcasing how Pininfarina left a strong mark of creativity on the aircraft of Italy’s famous aerobatic team, the Frecce Tricolori.

And it doesn’t stop there. CEO Silvio Pietro Angori, speaking to the media, reminded everyone that for a design company, the timeline from preliminary studies to final approval and the start of implementation often spans several years. It is no coincidence, then, that in the traditional headquarters in Cambiano, just outside Turin, work is already underway to meet the needs of bringing beautiful, functional, and rightly advanced technology into space. Should extraterrestrials show up, they will be able to appreciate humanity’s capabilities through creations signed by Pininfarina.

These are the same capabilities demonstrated by Kimi Räikkönen, the 2007 Formula 1 World Champion, now closely involved with Roarington, who drove on the Monza track using the simulator designed by Pininfarina. Among the upcoming innovations in the world of driving, there’s also a stunning controller created by the Turin-based designers for Roarington. After the necessary tests, it will allow people to drive from anywhere in the world on the tracks of this new, thrilling virtual universe. We will certainly revisit this topic in more detail. In conclusion, we might say: Pininfarina certainly doesn’t look its age at 95. But we’d rather wish this gem of Italian genius another 95 years of success.
