Last year, speaking about Gooding at Amelia Island, I observed that even though the auction had gone well, they might benefit from a period of rest — so that this year they could come back with full force. And so they did.
Over the two-day event (March 6–7) the number of cars dropped slightly, from 143 to 128, and the total offered also fell a little, from $74,635,000 in 2025 to $70,710,000 this year. Fewer cars does not mean lesser success, and the results confirm this: 117 cars sold against 128 the previous year, but with a rise in the sell-through rate, from an already excellent 89.51% to 91.40%.
