Future Events: What to Know and Where to Go in August 2024

August, the hottest time of the year, coincides with a series of unmissable events for classic car enthusiasts. A true haven for petrolheads who prefer four-wheel excitement over beach vacations.

From August 9 to 11, the Nürburgring will host the 51st Oldtimer Grand Prix. The event will feature touring cars, GTs, sports prototypes, and even past Formula 1 cars for three days of thrilling action on a legendary circuit. Roarington will be present with two Pininfarina and Zagato Simulators in collaboration with HK Engineering, offering the chance to experience the Nürburgring behind the wheel of the Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing that won the GT category in the 1955 Mille Miglia.

From August 9 to 18, California's famous Monterey Car Week offers a variety of events, including the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, The Quail, and Concorso Italiano, as well as related tours. The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Laguna Seca celebrates its 50th anniversary with historic races featuring the most important race cars in history. Additionally, there will be Porsche and Ferrari gatherings and five auctions promising record sales (Roarington will be following them closely).

Monterey Car Week runs from August 9 to 18 with many unmissable events.

From August 23 to 25, two events of great interest: Passione Engadina and the Silverstone Festival. The former is a prestigious rally in St. Moritz, celebrating Italian glamour and style. After celebrating Lancia last year, this year's edition is dedicated to Maserati. The latter is the Silverstone Festival, attracting enthusiasts from across the UK to celebrate British motorsport with dozens of track races, various cars present with clubs, concerts, and a tribute to the 30th anniversary of Ayrton Senna's passing.

Passione Engadina takes place in St. Moritz from August 23 to 25.

The last weekend of the month brings two more extraordinary events. From August 28 to 31, in the stunning setting of Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, England, Salon Privé, the exclusive and refined concours d'elegance, will take place, selecting one of the contenders for the Best of the Best award to be assigned in September.

On the same days, from August 30 to September 3, the Dix Mille Tours at the Paul Ricard circuit near the French Riviera will feature legends of endurance racing and past covered-wheel cars battling it out on track for unparalleled spectacle.
