Roarington is proud to offer a remarkable opportunity to those who love extraordinary automobiles and wish to discover their true spirit.
The simulator hub at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart is part of the partnership between Roarington and Mercedes-Benz Heritage. This collaboration also includes the virtual Mercedes-Benz Museum within the Roarington digital platform.
Experience drivers Bernd Mayländer, Bernd Schneider and Karl Wendlinger have already tested the Roarington simulators, permanently installed in the Classic Insel on Level 0, with great dedication and enjoyment. Their lap times have been recorded — will anyone dare to challenge them and try to beat them?
The three high-end Roarington driving simulators, created through the design expertise of Pininfarina and Zagato, have been developed and programmed with great technical sophistication.
The simulator experience is available during the normal opening hours of the Mercedes-Benz Museum and can also be enjoyed without entering the museum itself. A ten-minute session costs 14 euros; beforehand, an instructor provides guidance and useful advice. Tickets are available online, at the ticket counter and in the museum shop. One important note: the simulators in the Classic Insel on Level 0 may be used by visitors aged 15 and above and with a minimum height of 1.60 meters.
Key elements of the technology include a 3D motion system designed to simulate the movements of the vehicle, a curved 49-inch display that surrounds the driver and enhances the sense of realism, powerful simulation computers, and a specially calibrated audio system with subwoofer.
The goal of the collaboration between Mercedes-Benz Classic and Roarington is to gradually make more and more historic Mercedes-Benz vehicles available in digital form, allowing them to be experienced in a completely new way all around the world.
Roarington also offers its simulators for purchase. The available versions have been developed together with the renowned Italian design studios Pininfarina and Zagato. Of particular distinction is the “417 Legacy Edition,” limited to just seven units, inspired by the 300 SL (W 198) driven by John Fitch at the Mille Miglia in 1955.
This highly exclusive product can be purchased for private use through the Mercedes-Benz Classic vehicle sales division: Mercedes-Benz 300sl simulator
