Today we invite you to a magical place within Roarington: the Showroom set up by Pininfarina featuring models that have forever left their mark on its history. The first is a small production sports car, presented in 1946, which became so famous for its design that it’s now a prized exhibit at New York’s MoMa Museum. We’re talking about the Cisitalia 202, in the signature metallic blue so loved by the Turin coachbuilder. The car, with its very reduced weight and powered by a small 1100cc Fiat-based engine (tuned and therefore more powerful than the original), excelled on the road and also dominated in numerous races.
Another masterpiece on display in Roarington’s Pininfarina Showroom is the 1970 Modulo concept. Not only is the perfect digital twin of the original model showcased, but also the wooden buck that was used to shape the body panels during the production of this unique piece. The Modulo’s extraordinary character lies in the enduring modernity of its design, which, even after more than 50 years since its creation, continues to stand as the quintessence of visionary elegance in automotive design.
Within Pininfarina’s exclusive virtual Showroom, visitors can wander around the exhibited cars and, in the case of the Cisitalia 202, there’s even the chance to experience the sensation of getting inside and feeling what it’s like to take the driver’s seat. Naturally, this isn’t possible for a concept car like the Modulo, but it can still be admired from the outside in every detail, discovering the ingenious construction technique that many of Pininfarina’s masterpieces have adopted. Enjoy your visit and have fun!
