The 1000 Miglia is not just a race. It is a legend written on asphalt, a symphony of roaring engines echoing through Italy’s rolling hills and Renaissance cities. Born in 1927 as a 1,000-mile loop from Brescia to Rome and back, the original 1000 Miglia was raced at breakneck speeds on roads closed to traffic for a Saturday and Sunday until it was halted in 1957, following a tragic crash that marked the end of the race as a competitive time trial.
