In 2004, Stola was acquired by the RGZ group along with its subsidiaries, Estival, Tecnocars, and Stola do Brasil. In 2014, the company was sold to Blutec, which is part of the METEC group. As of 2006, Stola had a workforce of more than 3,500 employees.

Currently, Stola's activities are focused on producing limited edition exclusive cars.
