In 1955, Isotta Fraschini merged with engine manufacturer Breda Motori, and the new company was renamed F.A. Isotta Fraschini e Motori Breda. The company continued to produce engines for marine and aviation use, but the production of cars ceased. The company changed hands several times over the years and was eventually dissolved in the 1990s.
