Among the global paradises for collectors, Florida is continually rising in prominence. This growth is supported by two major events that brilliantly rival California's tradition: the Palm Beach Cavallino Classic and Amelia Island. Benefiting from Florida’s pleasant weather, these events take place at the start of the year: Cavallino, at the renowned The Breakers resort in Palm Beach, in late January (January 23-26, 2025), and Amelia at Racquet Park within the Omni Amelia Island Resort (March 6-9, 2025).
Amelia Island is among the most prestigious Concours d’Elegance, with its Best of Show winners competing in the Best of the Best Peninsula.
Cavallino Classic, exclusively for Ferrari, as the name suggests, boasts a long history, having reached its 34th edition. Its history is intertwined with the great value of today’s classic Ferraris. The event originated from the Cavallino monthly magazine, founded by a group of American Ferrari enthusiasts and collectors dedicated to preserving Maranello’s vehicles with historical accuracy. The concours, known for its rigorous evaluation and judging criteria, has elevated American Ferraris—and beyond—as exemplars of quality and seriousness in conservation and restoration. This unique event now also benefits from the expertise of Ferrari Classiche and the Italian competence of Canossa Events, which has gradually acquired Cavallino Inc.
The spectacular Palm Beach hosts the Cavallino Classic Concours d’Elegance every January. Here too, the Best of Show will compete in the Best of the Best Peninsula.
Amelia’s new ownership, however, has taken a different yet equally strategic approach: the renowned classic car insurance company, Hagerty. In addition to revitalizing the Concours, Hagerty has progressively transformed its role, becoming a sort of club for classic car enthusiasts and developing a series of interesting activities around the event, including a significant auction organized by Broad Arrow, a company within the powerful group created by CEO McKeel Hagerty. As seen, America offers collectors every opportunity to keep their passion alive. Cavallino and Amelia confirm this.
Amelia Island represents an unmissable event in Florida, with a series of activities built around the main event.
