Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC) is a Chinese state-owned automotive design and manufacturing company headquartered in Shanghai. SAIC produces passenger cars, buses, vans, trucks, and military vehicles under several brands, including Maxus, MG, Baojun, Roewe, and formerly the iconic British marque, Rover. The company also has joint ventures with Volkswagen, General Motors, and Daimler AG. SAIC is one of the largest automotive groups in China, with a total annual sales volume of over 5 million units in 2019. SAIC has a strong presence in the Chinese market, with a full range of vehicles from sedans and SUVs to commercial vehicles. The company also produces electric and hybrid vehicles.

History

Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC) is a Chinese state-owned automotive design and manufacturing company, headquartered in Shanghai.
