Company

Reynard Motorsport was a dominant force in the racing car industry during the 1980s, holding the title of the world's largest manufacturer during that time. The company's roots were established in Bicester, England, but later moved to Reynard Park in Brackley, where it continued to produce a range of highly successful cars across various categories of motorsport. These included Formula Ford 1600, Formula Ford 2000, Formula Vauxhall Lotus, Formula Three, Formula 3000, and CART. With a reputation for engineering excellence and a track record of delivering winning performance, Reynard Motorsport cemented its place as one of the most respected and influential names in motorsport history.

History

Reynard Motorsport, founded in 1973 by Adrian Reynard, achieved success in lower formulae before progressing to CART racing in 1994 and collaborating with British American Racing in early Formula One cars. Reynard also had success in Formula Atlantic, Formula 3000, and other special projects. Despite unsuccessful attempts in F3 and F1, Reynard's success in CART and F3000 was lasting. Reynard also diversified, purchasing Gemini Transmissions and US racing car manufacturer Riley & Scott in 1999 and working in partnership with West Surrey Racing in the British Touring Car Championship. The company was awarded the Queen's Awards for Export Achievement twice and was involved in a project to build airline seats for Virgin Atlantic.
