Offenhauser Sales Corporation is a US-based manufacturer of racing, custom car and performance automotive parts, founded by Fred C. Offenhauser in 1946. Fred C. Offenhauser was the nephew of Fred H. Offenhauser, who co-designed the Offy racing engine. Fred C. worked with his uncle in the 1930s and 1940s, and after serving in the US Navy during World War II, he returned home to found his speed parts business. The company is now led by the founder's grandnephew, Fred C. "Tay" Offenhauser. The company is not related to the Offy or Offenhauser racing engine, and after a legal dispute, the company was allowed to use the family name but not the engine's nickname "Offy".
