G-Power

G-Power is a car tuning manufacturer based in Aichach, Bavaria, Germany. The company was founded in 1983 by Jochen Grommisch and has since become renowned for its expertise in tuning BMW cars, as well as its production of high-performance boutique vehicles. One of G-Power's most notable achievements is the development of the supercharged 5.0L V-10 engine, which is capable of producing a remarkable 830 horsepower. This engine was featured in the BMW M5 Hurricane RRS, a modified BMW M5 sedan that reached a top speed of 372 km/h (231 mph), making it one of the fastest sedans in the world at the time.

G-Power's expertise in car tuning extends to other BMW models as well, including the M3, M4, and M6. G-POWER was founded in 1971 in Neu-Isenburg near Frankfurt by the Grommisch family, with a focus on refining BMW vehicles. In 1973, the company took over the distribution of the Alpina agency in the Rhine/Main area. From 1983, the company's core business was BMW tuning. In 1995, Zoran Zorneke took over the business operations and trademark rights to G-POWER. In 1997, the company headquarters was relocated to Brunsbüttel. G-POWER presented the first of a series of compressor systems in 1997, and in 2005, the company expanded to include its own manufacturing facility for carbon aerodynamic components. In 2007, G-POWER presented the 404 kW G-Power G3 CSL V10 Coupé. The G-POWER brand has been located in Bavaria since the beginning of 2007. In 2012, the G1 V8 Hurricane RS based on the 1 Series M Coupe was presented. In 2014, the G4M Bi-TURBO based on the BMW M4 F82 was introduced. G-POWER has since also offered an extensive performance program for Mercedes-AMG models. In 2018, G-POWER presented the X6M TYPHOON with 551 kW and a widebody kit. In 2020, the G5M HURRICANE RR based on the BMW M5 F90 was presented with 662 kW and 1050 Nm.
