Devin Enterprises was an American automotive manufacturer that was founded by Bill Devin in 1955. The company specialized in producing high-quality fiberglass car bodies that were sold as kits. Their first product was a fiberglass body for the Crosley Hot Shot, which was followed by bodies for other popular sports cars of the time, including the MG, Porsche, and Triumph.
Devin Enterprises also produced a small number of complete cars, including the Devin SS, which was based on a Chevrolet Corvette chassis. The car was designed for racing and was successful in various competitions. However, the company faced financial difficulties in the early 1960s, which ultimately led to the end of production of the Devin SS in 1964.
Despite this, Devin's legacy lived on as many of their fiberglass bodies were used by amateur racers and car enthusiasts to create custom sports cars. In 2001, the assets and intellectual property of Devin Enterprises were acquired by Devin Sports Cars LLC of Glendale, California, which continues to produce replica bodies and parts for vintage sports cars today. The company also offers services such as restoration and repair. In 2019, the assets and intellectual property were acquired by Devin Sports Cars, LLC of Abington, Pennsylvania, where they continue to exist today.
