Ariel Motor Company Ltd is a British automaker that was founded by Simon Saunders in 1991 as Solocrest Ltd. It was later renamed in 1999. The company is known for producing low-volume performance vehicles and has only around 30 employees. They produce up to 100 cars per year, making them one of the UK's smallest automotive companies. The original Ariel Motors is now the trading company of the Ariel Owners Motorcycle Club (AOMCC) Ariel Motorcycles firm.
