"Please, Step in for a Ride." At the Greenwich Concours, a Genuine Emotion for the Public
Trophy cars and open doors – Greenwich asks whether a concours should be admired or actually felt from the passenger seat.

Roarington's journey through Concours d'Élégance events around the world continues with the Greenwich Concours, on the shores of the harbour of the Connecticut town of the same name, just over an hour from New York. Founded in 1996 on the initiative of Bruce and Genia Wennerstrom, with the aim of bringing exceptional cars into the heart of the local community, it has retained that delightful flavour of a past now long gone. No small virtue.
Since 2019 the event has entered the Hagerty universe – well known for its insurance services dedicated to collector cars, but also for the organisation of events and auctions – which has expanded the programme while preserving its original spirit.
The formula is as simple as it is effective: two events, in essence. Saturday is devoted to the Concours de Sport, with competition cars and supercars as the stars, while Sunday brings automotive history back to centre stage with the classic cars.
