__3rd edition 2017: Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic__

In 2017, the owners of the five cars on the list to compete with the Bugatti Type 57 SC, the famous Atlantic, knew beforehand that they had no chance of victory: the first one produced, completely intact since 1936 when it was delivered to Nathaniel Mayer Victor Rothschild, Third Baron Rothschild and perfectly preserved, could not possibly have any rivals. And so it was: not even the magnificent Lancia Astura Aerodinamica from 1933 by Castagna or the mighty Mercedes Benz S from 1917 could worry her. The other cars in contention, the Best of Show jewels from the most important competitions in the world, were all Italian with two Ferraris, two Alfa Romeos and an ATS.
