Zagato and Alfa Romeo reign at Villa d’Este alongside BMW
Zagato and Alfa Romeo shine at Villa d'Este 2025, where past and future meet in a celebration of timeless automotive excellence.

How can one choose the pinnacle of excellence when sixty extraordinary automobiles from every era are showcased in the stunning setting of Villa d’Este? It’s hard to say whether it was by chance or by design. What’s certain is that the 1934 Alfa Romeo Tipo B P3 bearing the Prancing Horse emblem and the Alfa Romeo 8C DoppiaCoda Zagato share a profound connection: the former, conceived with an emphasis on lightness and aerodynamics, was bodied by Zagato, just like the seductive 8C DoppiaCoda Zagato—designed and crafted by Zagato—which was chosen by the public and experts alike to win the Concorso d'Eleganza Design Award in the Concept Cars & Prototypes category. Both cars were envisioned and built in the Atelier of the renowned Milanese coachbuilder.

The bond is made even stronger by the fact that since the 1930s, Zagato’s founder Ugo has been succeeded by his sons Elio and Gianni, and today by his grandson Andrea. A true family vocation. Glory to Alfa Romeo and glory to Zagato at this 2025 edition, blessed by magnificent weather that made Villa d’Este and its lakefront park even more enchanting—and honors to the German Auriga Collection, owner of the P3, and to Andrea Zagato, now at the helm of the company bearing his name.
