Not Just Formula 1: The Monaco Grand Prix Like You’ve Never Seen It
Monaco’s streets have hosted more than F1—legendary sports cars and thrilling one-make series have lit up the Principality for decades.

Monaco has always been the crown jewel of the Formula 1 World Championship — the most glamorous Grand Prix where influential personalities simply can’t be absent. For the drivers, it’s an event that almost stands apart from the rest, so much so that it forms part of the famed Triple Crown, reserved for those who manage to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Indianapolis 500, and the Monaco Grand Prix over the course of their career. After the 1950 edition, won by Juan Manuel Fangio at the wheel of the Alfa Romeo 158, a non-championship race was held in 1952 for sports cars with engines larger than 2 liters. It was dominated by the Ferrari 225 S, which secured the top five positions and claimed victory with Vittorio Marzotto. However, it was not repeated.
