The instinct, courage, and dedication of the Duke of Richmond – remembered by many as Lord March – who more than thirty years ago conceived the idea that a great and singular celebration of the automobile could unfold in the grounds of his ancestral estate rather than at the Goodwood motor circuit (which, incidentally, he also owns), is rewarded each year by resounding success.

Instead of the track, why not use the long avenue running from the circuit to the house to give life to the emotion of cars of every kind and era gathering at Goodwood House – an avenue that, for many, becomes a genuine hillclimb?
