If someone came to your house and sat in your favorite chair, how would you react? This was Bonhams' dilemma for the October 12th sale. Zoute has always been one of the London-based company's flagship sales, and last year it was the most profitable, but this year, as we saw last week, Broad Arrow has also arrived, becoming an "indigestible" variable. Bonhams did not give in to discouragement, increasing the number of cars offered (from 68 to 73) with an estimated value of €30,438,000.

They defended themselves, but it wasn't enough: sales settled at 78% (57 cars), compared to last year's 93% (63 cars), with an average price of €326,646 to €265,583, and turnover fell from €20,578,675 to €15,138,225. However, it must be taken into account that the number of cars offered without reserve dropped from almost 60% to less than 40%, and this has its weight.

All this highlights how strong the competition is and, in any case, as we'll see, that Bonhams still performed well and continued to make a strong impression.
