The 28th edition of the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique, scheduled to run from January 29 to February 7, 2026, once again confirms itself as one of the most fascinating events on the historic motorsport calendar. According to the official entry list, 253 crews from 28 countries will take the start, facing not only a driving challenge but a true test of endurance.

The event will unfold over ten days, with departures from six European cities, ranging from John O’Groats in Scotland to Barcelona, offering very different approaches before converging in the Principality of Monaco. Once in Monaco, the field will tackle a shared route featuring 18 special stages on roads closed to traffic.

This race format fully captures the original spirit of the Monte-Carlo Rally, built around long liaison sections, strategy, and the ability to adapt to widely varying conditions-snow included. The special stages are not speed tests but regularity stages, based on set average speeds. Three different average speeds are offered, allowing crews with varying levels of experience and ambition to compete on equal terms. This makes the Monte-Carlo Historique accessible both to highly competitive teams and to those who approach the event as a conscious historical re-enactment.
