Auto e Moto d'Epoca: Roarington and 1000 Miglia Take the Spotlight

As vast and vibrant as it is with stands overflowing with automotive treasures, the Auto e Moto d’Epoca in Bologna has one magnetic point of convergence: the area where 1000 Miglia meets its visitors. Here, alongside the legendary Red Arrow, two elegant design pieces separated by a century resonate in perfect harmony: the magnificent OM 665 from the 1920s, a six-cylinder marvel capable of 100 km/h, and Roarington’s Zagato-designed simulator, a contemporary creation that brings the spirit of “the most beautiful race in the world” into the digital era.

Even though the OM 665 stands proudly yet silently – its historic engine unable to roar – it’s the Roarington simulator that steals the show, electrifying guests with the thrill of driving virtual stages of the Mille Miglia. The experience immerses participants in precision driving: arriving just before the time check, following the calm voice of a virtual co-driver counting down the final seconds – “5, 4, 3, 2, 1” – and crossing the line at the exact moment.
