Real Meets Virtual: Roarington Revs Up the Red Bull Ring Classics

From April 26 to 27, the Red Bull Ring Classics will take place on the Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix track Red Bull Ring. It’s a true time-travel experience for motorsport fans, with exciting races featuring both closed-wheel cars and single-seaters. Vehicles from all eras will compete in thrilling battles on the scenic, rolling circuit, which has been owned by Red Bull since 2010.
Alfa Romeo racing cars produced from 1947 to 1981 will headline the first round of the Alfa Revival Cup within the Red Bull Ring Classics weekend.

Some of the most exciting races will feature Alfa Romeo race cars from the 1950s to the 1980s competing in the Alfa Revival Cup, as well as classic German touring cars from the golden era of the DRM Championship (1971 to 1985). Fans can also look forward to intense battles in the Porsche Classic Cup. And there’s more: the Formula Historic series — featuring Formula 3 and Formula Ford single-seaters built up to 1999 — will bring thrilling wheel-to-wheel racing in true classic style.

A huge number of cars from every era, both closed- and open-wheel, will be on show at the Red Bull Ring Classics.

It’s not just about the races — there will also be unmissable highlights like Karl Wendlinger driving the Mercedes C11, celebrating the 1990 World Sportscar Championship win with Jochen Mass. Plus, don’t miss the thrilling rally legends show, packed with spectacular drifts that are sure to excite the crowd.

After last year's success, the Hollywood car show returns for the 2025 edition, featuring “Eleanor” from the blockbuster “Gone in 60 Seconds”.

One of the main highlights of the weekend will be the virtual racing challenge on Roarington’s state-of-the-art simulators — designed by Pininfarina and Zagato — offering an immersive experience on the digital version of the legendary Red Bull Ring. Visitors can compete in qualifying sessions throughout the event, with the three fastest lap times earning exclusive prizes. The top driver will take home the coveted Glass Bull trophy and a bottle of champagne. Three simulators will be available: one in the VIP Area and two in a dedicated paddock garage — offering guests the perfect blend of real and virtual motorsport excitement.
