RM Sotheby’s in London: A New Star at the Restaurant of Dreams
At Woodcote Park on 8 July, RM Sotheby’s sold 31 of 42 cars for £15,960,525 – including a Jean Sage Ferrari F40 at £3,605,000 and a record-breaking 911 RSR 3.8.

It is all new, and yet it feels as though it has always existed. On Wednesday 8 July, RM Sotheby’s held an auction at Woodcote Park, a grand estate in south London – timed to coincide with the Royal Automobile Club Concours, of which the auction house is the principal sponsor. A young concours, in only its second year, and a first edition for RM Sotheby’s.
The numbers, however, already read like those of a well-oiled sale: more than 70% of lots sold – precisely 73.80% – amounting to 31 cars from 42 offered, and all of this with very few cars carrying no reserve.
