One of the most significant developments surrounding the 2026 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans is the opening of the "M24 – Motorsport Museum". To call it a simple renovation would be to sell it short. The historic Musée des 24 Heures, inaugurated in 1961 at the gates of the Circuit de la Sarthe, has been entirely reconceived and transformed into a structure new in concept, scale, and ambition. The new museum is born from a collaboration between the ACO - Automobile Club de l'Ouest and Richard Mille, marking a turning point in the way the history of motorsport is told.

M24 – Motorsport - 1
The new M24 – Le Mans Motorsport Museum is a fully redesigned and expanded space showcasing over 120 vehicles and the history of endurance racing, Formula 1, and other motorsport disciplines.

The novelty lies in the philosophy of the project: M24 presents itself as the first museum in the world capable of bringing together under one roof six major motorsport disciplines — Formula 1, Endurance, Rally, IndyCar, Can-Am, and Motorcycle Racing. An unexpected approach, given the fame of the 24 Hours, yet one that tells the story of motorsport as a single, continuous narrative of innovation, courage, and the pursuit of performance. More than 120 cars carry the weight of over a century of competition, accompanied by an extraordinary collection of 4,667 model cars representing every entry at the 24 Hours of Le Mans from 1923 to the present day. It is a three-dimensional archive of the world's most celebrated race, unlike anything else of its kind.
