Kimi Antonelli: The Serenity and Smile of a Champion at Ease with New Technologies
Born in 2006, Antonelli speaks the language of modern F1 instinctively – and that may be the greatest advantage of all.

There are many ways to measure how the world changes. And it is facts that reveal it: if we turn back to look at the history of the automobile, we notice how much time had to pass before manufacturers – and the public even more so – came to understand the importance of aerodynamics. Cars with large radiators, external mudguards, and boxy cabins required nearly thirty years to give way to vehicles more efficient in their Cx. The same held true for safety, for comfort, and for the technologies capable of assisting the driver.
It may seem strange to begin a portrait of a young Formula 1 World Champion – the Italian Andrea Kimi Antonelli – by speaking of the evolution of the automobile. And yet here we are, because, fortunately, the car is built for whoever drives it, and whoever drives it may possess greater or lesser talent for exploiting its qualities.
