Goodwood Revival: vintage at its best
Goodwood Revival: Historic racing reborn in period attire. Nostalgia, legendary cars, and vintage charm converge.

In 1998, after a long hiatus since its closure in 1966, the renowned Motor Circuit at Goodwood saw the rebirth of motor racing in the autumn. This resurrection came to be known as the "Goodwood Revival", now considered one of the largest historic motorsport events worldwide. What sets it apart is its unique feature of being entirely staged in period dress, adding an extra touch of nostalgia and authenticity.

During its golden era from 1948 to 1966, the Goodwood circuit served as the spiritual home of British motor racing. It hosted prestigious races like the Tourist Trophy for sports cars and the Glover Trophy for Grand Prix cars, attracting racing legends like Juan Manuel Fangio, Stirling Moss, Jim Clark, and Graham Hill. The circuit was initially founded by Freddie March, later known as the 9th Duke of Richmond, who himself was a winner at Brooklands. His grandson Charles, Earl of March, breathed new life into Goodwood by bringing back the Revival event in 1998, creating a mesmerizing journey back in time to relive the glory days of motor racing at Goodwood.
