A Pagani stranded at customs, a Daytona closing the books — Broad Arrow's Villa Erba sale lived on the edge, then rewrote several price histories.

The entire sale was decided in the final 180 seconds. Rather like Le Mans being settled on the last lap. This time, Broad Arrow's sale at Villa Erba on 16 and 17 May kept everyone on edge precisely because it never stopped hovering at the threshold of uncertainty.

It must be said that Italy is a difficult market for auctions, and it seemed unlikely that the 2026 numbers could improve on 2025 — because figures such as 72.05% and €28,998,225 represent a genuine ceiling for most auction houses, particularly in Southern Europe.

Last year's data looked hard to replicate: 68 cars offered (25 without reserve), 49 sold, for the aforementioned 72.05%. An estimated value of €44,665,000 translated into €28,998,225 in sales and an average price of €591,739. And yet Broad Arrow at Villa Erba 2026 managed to pull it off with a late surge. Seventy-five cars were offered (31 without reserve) and 61 were sold — 81.33%. The estimated value grew to €53,190,000 and total sales reached €34,449,625, itself a 19% increase on the previous year. Only the average price edged slightly lower, to €564,748.
