At the beginning of March, for one week, Amelia Island becomes the centre of the world for those who live the automobile as passion, history and collecting. It is no longer simply a concours d’élégance, but a true celebration of the motor car in all its forms, where the charm of historic coachwork meets the thunder of racing engines and the energy of an increasingly global market. The 2026 edition of the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance confirmed the constant growth of the event, now firmly established as one of the most important appointments in the international calendar. On the lawn overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, masterpieces from every era paraded gracefully — from the great pre-war grand tourers to the icons of competition — in a perfect balance between elegance and sport.

Crowned Best of Show Concours d’Elegance was an extraordinary 1931 Duesenberg Model J Taper Tail Speedster from the collection of Bill H. Lyon. With its generous proportions, the beautifully tapered tail and an almost theatrical presence, it represents perfectly the very peak of American automotive luxury in the 1930s.
